Firefighter/EMT Role
Membership Process
- Download and fill out the application
- Email the application to the fire chief
- Upon invitation, attend a monthly business meeting.
- Formal interview with Fire Department Leadership
- Acceptance/Denial as a New member of Station 11
Requirements for New Members
All new members must undergo training to become an EMT or Firefighter or both – Wayne Township pays for EMT/Firefighter Training Courses.
Minimum of 18 years old to function as a full member.
Pass rigorous physical tests and maintain fitness standards.
Valid Driver’s License
Clean criminal record and ability to pass drug screening.
Interested applicants must reside within Wayne Township in Tuscarawas County, OH
Strong problem solving, teamwork, good communication, and ability to work under pressure as a cohesive team member.
Ability to pass a medical exam to ensure physical and mental health for this role.
All members attend a monthly business meeting and attend monthly continuing education at the station. Additionally, our members actively participate in community events for fundraising and outreach.
